The Doctor
Dr. Betsy May
Dr. Betsy May earned a bachelor's degree in Nutrition Science from the Pennsylvania State University. She took her love of science, art, health, and fitness and combined them when she decided to become a dentist.
Dr. May graduated from the Temple University School of Dentistry in 2001. Her advanced training continued at the University of Louisville where she completed a general practice residency. After this, she moved to Delaware to start a family and be close to relatives. She practiced in Bear, Delaware for several years. In 2005, Dr. May created Delaware Modern Dental with the the goal of giving every patient the "most comfortable and gentle dental experience of their lives." She takes many continuing education classes to stay current with what is happening in dentistry. Dr May is a member of the American Dental Association, the Delaware State Dental Society, the New Castle County study club and was awarded the prestigious BBB Torch Award for business ethics in 2013. Dr. May is still a health and fitness enthusiast and enjoys sharing that hobby with her two daughters, Stephanie and Danielle.
